Abstract

The theatrical representation of the past that brings back the memory of the extreme violence exerted on the bodies by the State challenges our present. This irruption of the past becomes understandable to us through the organization of certain procedures of dramatic-scenic representation. The present work makes an analysis of Griselda Gambaro’s "El campo" based on a semiotic approach that allows us to investigate the implications of the representation of time and history from the perspectives of P. Ricoeur, W. Benjamin, G. Didi-Huberman, B. Sarlo and A. Kaufman.
