CASSANDRA RELEASED, THE SILENCE OF ABUSE. COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF AGAMEMNON OF AESCHYLOS AND CASSANDRA ILUMINADA (RITO DE PASAJE) BY NOEMÍ FRENKEL.

Abstract

The following work analyzes the reception that Noemí Frenkel makes of the Greek tragedy of Aeschylus Agamemnon in her work Casandra iluminada (rito de pasaje). For this purpose, we will work particularly with the figure of Cassandra, represented in both works, and the transformations, displacements and new meanings that it acquires in the work of the Argentine playwright. Doing so allows to map the axes of the dialogue that the work of a contemporary playwright entails with texts from the Attic classical tradition, which, in turn, demonstrates the validity of these texts to modulate experiences such as the roles of gender or abuse.
