Notes on the irruption of Social Anthropology at the University of Buenos Aires
Abstract
In this essay I explore some aspects of the way in which Social Anthropology was implanted in the Faculty of Philosophy and Literature of the University of Buenos Aires in 1984, tracing its tracks in the pages of Runa and recovering my own experience. I also suggest that the foundations of some features that characterize the current situation of the specialty in this house of studies – such as the strong political imprint of our investigations and the heterogeneity of their theoretical and methodological orientations, among others– were laid in those years.Downloads
