The Crisis in Argentine University libraries
Abstract
The article outlines the situation faced by Argentinean university libraries, both national and private, between 2001 and 2003. It investigates whether the fiscal crisis in December 2001 significantly changed the management of Argentinean libraries or only increased old problems. Through a survey on university libraries of the country, certain areas of their planning was covered (collection development, personnel, etc.) and the results are shown.Downloads
