Spiteri's simplified facet analysis model after Ranganathan and CRG
Abstract
This article describes the Simplified Model for Facet Analysis, developed by Spiteri (1998) based on the theories by Ranganathan and the Classification Research Group (CRG). Departing from their similarities and differences, Spiteri created a simpler and more practical model, which can be considered a reference instrument for the design of facet classification systems, as well as a useful teaching tool to introduce Library and Information Science students to the Theory of Facet Analysis.Downloads
