E-book reader: a new vista for information management and libraries
Abstract
The paper discusses e-book readers both as a new archiving option for libraries and as a tool for the information industry. It reports on some of the leading models available on the market and analyzes the librarian’s experience with e-readers as a management tool. The review of the literature offered here also ponders the road ahead for information professionals with regard to this new technological option. E-books are discussed as well, with a view to understanding how libraries adapt to the growing demand for the new media.Downloads
