Recent History: Outlines on an Expanding Research Field
Abstract
This article aims to present what we consider the main characteristics of the field of recent history, which in Argentina developed in the last decade a process of intellectual and institutional consolidation and a remarkable research progress, embodied in PhD. theses, articles, books and papers. In order to do it, we review the main epistemological and political problems that appears in this historiographical area, we present some quantitative data to account for the expansion process, and propose a balance of the main production topics, particularizing the vacancy areas and challenges that confront the field of recent history today.Downloads
