Museums and Sciences Cabinets in Argentina’s National Secondary Schools (1870-1880)
Abstract
This paper examines the formation of laboratories and natural sciences collections in Argentinean secondary schools between the 1870s and 1880s. It explores the role played by those spaces and their professors in certain cities and in the knowledge of the local nature. In particular, it analyses the case of the Museum of Natural History of the Colegio de Concepción del Uruguay.Downloads
