Abstract

This paper offers an initial systematization of our teaching and research experience within the Intercultural Education Degree program at the Universidad Pedagógica Nacional (Argentina), aimed at practicing teachers. We examine the contributions of anthropology to this program and explain its connection to the definition of the intercultural paradigm we embrace, which is grounded in the intersection of identity politics and a human rights framework. We seek to deepen teaching and research practices within the framework of this degree by analyzing their territoriality and engaging with the concerns of active teachers. This reflection enabled us to identify some of the key challenges and dilemmas related to diversity in educational environments. Finally, we reflect on our own research, outreach, knowledge transfer and public communication of science activities, adapting them to Argentina’s current national situation, highlighting some of the concerns central to our teaching-research practice.
